Research theme: Rapid Response to Emerging Threats

Carl is a Research Fellow at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and a member of the Centre for Mathematical Modelling of Infectious Disease (CMMID). He is a regular contributor to the efforts by the CMMID COVID-19 working group, and also works on Ebola, Dengue, and various other infectious diseases. He primary research approaches use high performance computing to simulate fundamental infectious disease processes and forecast disease and economic impacts of public health interventions. He is most interested in questions concerning operational public health decision-making.
