Research theme: Combatting Infections of National Priority

Abigail studied BioMathematics (with a focus in Molecular Biology) at Stellenbosch University. She first joined SACEMA in 2019 through her Honours project on adaptive decision making algorithms for active Tuberculosis case-finding under the supervision of Dr. Florian Marx. She worked as a Research Assistant at SACEMA focusing on TB case-finding and as a coordinator between the SACEMA-DTTC TB Modeling partnership in 2020. In December 2021, Abigail obtained her Masters degree (cum laude) in Epidemiology. She is currently a Research Associate at SACEMA.
