Shadé Horn, PhD

Shadé joined SACEMA in November 2024 as a fellowship manager where she manages the Measles and Polio Policy Modelling Fellowship which aims to develop capacity for practical, data-driven modelling among people working within, or with strong relationships to, African Ministries of Health. Her role includes advanced and basic technical training, mentorship, and coordination of the fellowship. Prior to joining SACEMA, she completed her PhD in biochemistry at the University of Stellenbosch, with a focus in computational systems biology.
