Countdown to MMED 2025!

A Global Gathering for Modelling Infectious Disease Dynamics

The 14th annual Clinic on Meaningful Modelling of Epidemiological Data (MMED) is just around the corner!

From 16–27 June 2025, early-career researchers from across Africa will gather in Muizenberg, Cape Town for a two-week immersive clinic in modelling infectious disease dynamics.

Hosted by SACEMA and AIMS-SA in partnership with the ICI3D Program, MMED focuses on the integration of mathematical models with real epidemiological data to answer meaningful, practical public health questions.

Participants will work in teams, guided by an exceptional instructional team from South Africa, Canada, the USA, Kenya, and the UK.

This year’s clinic is supported by SACEMA, AIMS-SA, MIDAS, CEMA, and the SAMRC.
